being as it is now spring time (even though the temperature doesn't always want to agree with that), it is time for the flowers and weeds and grass and leaves to all start budding and blooming. because i spend the majority of my day outside with little kids, I'm constantly answering the question "are these flowers or are they weeds?" in reference to the dandelions that grow everywhere. every time one of the babies asks me, i immediately want to sing back my answer, "He sees flowers in these weeds" but since that doesn't do much aside from gain me a few more dirty looks, i refrain.
but since I've been singing that song pretty consistently for the last week or so, i figured it was time to listen to the EP.
uh, i need to veer off track for one second, here. i just looked the album up on amazon so that i could look over the track listing, and did you know that each movement of the rock opera goes for 99 cents? every single one of them save the last one is under a minute long...and the hidden track goes for 1.99. i love five iron with all of my heart and soul, but i would never, ever, ever pay a dollar for 30 seconds of nonsense.
everything i had to say about this album has now flown out the window as i just cant wrap my mind around the 99 cent thing. criminey.
so here, watch this instead.
J has been picking me dandelions every spring since she could walk. Last year she finally asked me if they were weeds -I told her they're more pretty than the grass. She loves them, I love them, and it's a great opportunity to talk about how even what some people call weeds are God's creation with her.
ReplyDeleteObviously you probably can't get into God stuff with kids at school...and this response really has not a lot to do with anything. :P
